Design and development of ludic-informative interactive modules for 42-inches multi touchscreens.
We designed an App for tablets, where the visitor had the option to choose between four colonial ships (galleons) to later select his traveling route: From America (at the port of Campeche) towards Spain (in the ports of San Lucar de Barrameda or of Seville) or vice versa, the route from Spain to Campeche.
Once the route was selected, the visitor was able to choose among various products to fill-in his ship (henequen fiber, honey or palo de Campeche tincture if they departed from America, or silks, olive oil, furniture or pig meet, etc., if the route was from Spain to America). Once the stores were filled in, the user put his ship to navigate and then, a signal through a local server and network installed in the gallery, made the ship set sail projecting the scene on the wall (WALL) on four screens that showed a map of the Yucatan an Iberian peninsulas with the ocean between them.
The ship on its way may sink by different causes such as pirate attacks or storms if the user didn’t answer a short quiz correctly. If he responded correctly to all answers, then his ship arrived safely to good port.
